I specialize in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML)-based software solutions. If there is a logistics, business, or technical problem, I want to come up with a way to solve it! I love to think "outside of the box"— time and money don't grow on trees, so a little creativity goes a long way toward an effective and, most importantly, tenable solution.
Second only to solving a problem is communicating it: I love sharing my work and the science it's based on to executives, students, and anyone in-between. I take pride in helping non-subject matter experts to understand, and it's a joy to share my knowledge with subject matter experts. I thrive in environments where my own work can be refined by the questions of my colleagues and customers.
With education in computational linguistics and computer science, along with four years of working in defense and legal contexts, I'm now looking for a role in the space of biomedical informatics research. I look forward to making a difference in the world of medical care, using NLP and ML to help improve the lives of patients.
